Being selected as one of the student to give a short blog presentation in front of the tutorial class suddenly, fluctuation and stress keep affecting my performance.

Having a short introducing about the attentions in planing the website layout design, such as the use of color scheme, the organization of sites elements, I point out about RSS. But sorry that RSS may be too new to some classmates.

The explanation of the WIKI may sound too complex, maybe you can have a image like this: RSS is an extra way, for you to get some information, with using some RSS reader.

In the scope of Blog, and News boardcast, RSS is now highly employed, such as BBC News, Google News and Yahoo News, you will see they provide “RSS Feed” for visitor to receive the categories of news that they want to receive. RSS feed is similiar with the e-newsletter in the last internet generation. But for RSS Feed, you own the right in choosing what kind of information that you want to receive. People can use RSS reader to receive the entities(usually it is a title or short quote of the contents) that they want to read instead of receiving the information from email.

When constructing a web site which contain many informative contents, employing RSS feed for visitor can help them finding they things they want out of the mass. Visitors do not necessarily need to go to the site, but use a software for fining and filtering the contents. This improve the accessibility of the web site.

For RSS, the contents are exchanged using XML format. With standandized, clearly defined tag, contents can be visualized in a unified format. I may write more things about XML onward.

About RSS reader/ software, the most simple way to get one is to use Mozilla FireFox as it equipped with a RSS reader component. Whenever you see a website that provided the orange icon beside the URL field,
